Lucky Number

“Give me a ticket! Hurry!”

Cafe Colombo is always busy. There are always people sitting at the table. But Charlie didn’t sit in the cafe because he was a shoeshine boy. He shined shoes ten cents. That day, Charlie shined one man’s shoes. And he got ten cents. An old man came to walk. He was selling lottery tickets. A man bought one ticket. But the ticket fell out of his pocket. Charlie caught it and took it to home. The next day, his mother went to lottery office. A man was shouting winning number. Did Charlie and his mother win? Were they lucky?

This book doesn’t tell us which Charlie win or lose. But  this point is good. We can imagine however we want.
